Report 		This drug usually used for treatment of GERD - gastroesophageal reflux disease, excessive stomach acid, Zollinger-Ellison syndrom, and some other diseases.

It decreases amount of acid produced in your stomach.

Rabeprazole (Aciphex it brand name) can also be given with some antibiotics to prevent gastric ulcer which caused by infection with helicobacter pylor.

Report 		Aciphex is usually given for 3 to 8 weeks only. Or 1 week if H. pylori infection treatment.

Your doctor may recommend second course of treatment if you need some additional time.
